Moving to Torrevieja

Hi all
I have just taken early retirement and I am coming to Torrevieja from UK March 5th with views of possibly settling here
I have been looking online at places in .Habaneras avenue area and wonder if anyone could comment on area. I am planning on renting 3-6 months and take it from there dependant on circumstances. Also if anyone can suggest other areas near town centre I would appreciate.

Anyone with a studio or 1 bed to rent I would also be happy to hear from. Places I have been looking at online are from 250-350euros a month furnished.

Sandy, I've worked in that area a few times. If its the same one I'm thinking of, just be aware it's nowhere near the shopping centre. Its very Spanish but with increasing influence of Russian buyers. Most of the buildings are apartment blocks built close together, but with some nice Garden Squares dotted about and close to the beach. To be fairly honest, central Torrevieja is not a place I'd retire to.

Thanks Marko, I am going to rent maximum 6 months before deciding long term plan.
