Coventry Bears rfc has been in Torrevieja since February 8

An increasing number of countries around Europe are recognizing the superb quality of the Torrevieja facilities and climate by sending their sports clubs to carry out their winter training in the city.

The most recent to enjoy the facilities at the Sports City are Coventry Bears Rugby league Club from central England, a handball team from Denmark and two swimming clubs, Madla and Stavanger, from Norway. These follow on the back of Featherstone Rovers Rugby League Club who only recently returned to the UK from Torrevieja.

Coventry has been in Torrevieja since February 8. They are carrying out their tactical training outdoors at the Ciudad Deportiva and the Nelson Mandela stadium while intensive fitness training is being undertaken in the Municipal Gymnasium. Coventry have already indicated that they will be returning to Torrevieja next year.
